Privacy Policy

1. Overview

FedScope is operated by FedScope, LLC, a single-member Florida limited liability company ("FedScope," "we," or "us"), which is the controller responsible for the personal information described here. This policy explains what limited information we collect and how it is used. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.

2. Information We Collect

• Email address — if you join the announcement list, join the waitlist, or create an account. Announcement consent and opt-out time are recorded separately so earlier beta signups are not silently added to marketing sends.
• Account details — such as organization name, if you provide them.
• Usage data — basic, aggregated analytics (pages viewed, searches run) to improve the product.
• AI connector data — questions, tool inputs and results, saved partners, watches, and usage counts needed to answer and continue your requests.
• Anonymous company-match activity — when an authenticated connector search returns a verified company that opted into match alerts, we record only that company, its result position, and the time. We do not attach the searching user, workspace, prompt, filters, or AI conversation to that event.
• Company verification data — the selected federal company record, verification method and time, masked government-record contact channel, claim evidence, organization role, and review history.
• Contractor evidence and sharing data — authorized CPARS summaries, past-performance write-ups, files you deliberately select, named recipients, purpose, terms version, expiration, revocation, and access logs.
• Connected-service data — provider account identifiers, granted scopes, encrypted authorization credentials when persistent access is needed, and only the files or records you explicitly select for import.
• Security and abuse-prevention data — IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps, rate-limit events, and similar technical logs used to protect the Service.
• Billing data — handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.

3. How We Use Information

To operate and improve the Service, communicate with you about FedScope (e.g., launch notifications, account or billing matters), prevent scraping, abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access, enforce our Terms of Use, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use contractor-uploaded evidence to train an AI model. FedScope processes it only to provide the features and sharing choices you authorize.

Verified company owners may opt into a weekly aggregate match digest. We send a digest only after a minimum activity threshold and never identify the people or organizations whose searches produced those matches. Owners can turn the digest off in the control center or from any digest email.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers to run the Service, including hosting (Vercel), payments (Stripe), authentication/database (Supabase), AI services you choose to connect (such as OpenAI or Anthropic), and data sources you deliberately connect (such as Google Drive). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. The government data we display comes from publicly available U.S. Government sources.

When you use FedScope from a third-party AI, that provider processes the conversation under your relationship with it and sends permitted tool requests to FedScope. A data connector receives only the scopes and specific items shown in its authorization flow. FedScope does not request account-wide Google Drive access for the planned selected-file import.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed for authentication and core functionality, plus privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service or as required by law. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may disconnect a provider or revoke an evidence share. Revocation stops future access but does not erase copies a recipient lawfully downloaded while access was active. Security, billing, consent, and access logs may be retained as needed to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@fedscope.io. Every alert and marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link; you can also manage alerts from your watchlist settings. We honor verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect (see Section 2), to request access to or deletion of it, to correct inaccuracies, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, contact us; we will verify and respond within 45 days.

9. EEA/UK Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (operating your account), your consent (marketing emails, which you may withdraw at any time), and our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. Data may be processed in the United States by our providers (Section 4) under appropriate safeguards. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
